Most voice assistants in a house are a speaker with a shopping list attached. Josh is the opposite — installed by an authorised dealer, wired into the lighting, climate, shades and cinema that are already there, and built so an ordinary sentence works instead of a memorised phrase.
What Josh actually does in the house.
“It’s too bright in here” and “turn everything off downstairs” both work. There is no command list to memorise and no rename-every-device evening, because the system is set up around the way your household already talks about the house.
Ordinary sentences
Josh sits on top of Lutron, Control4, Savant, Sonos, the thermostats and the shades rather than replacing them. It speaks to more than a hundred brands, so it can be the single spoken layer over equipment from five different manufacturers.
One voice over every system
Josh states that it will never sell user data to third parties, prioritises local processing where it can, and encrypts what has to leave the house. The microphones show a light while they are listening, mute with a tap, and the chat history can be deleted permanently.
Privacy you can point at
Micros and Nanos go where people actually speak — the kitchen island, the primary bath, the media room — and get tuned for the room they are in. A microphone in the wrong wall is the difference between a system people use and one they stop talking to.

That is the rule for every brand we carry. Josh does not sell to the public at all — it is available only through authorised dealers, and Josh runs a certification programme behind that authorisation. StroTek is an authorised Josh.ai dealer.
It matters more here than almost anywhere else, because Josh is only as good as what it is connected to. The work is the integration: naming rooms the way the household names them, deciding what “goodnight” should actually do, and making sure the lighting underneath answers fast enough that a spoken command feels instant rather than hopeful.
